People to Remember:
People that I met at TVU and still remember: Ray Gumme (Java Programming), Professor Lynne Dunckley (Author of books: 'Oracle 10g Developing Media Rich Applications ' 'Multimedia Databases: An Object Relational Approach', Professor Balbir Barn (Current Project) (Software Engineering), Nasser Matoorian (Java Programming, GUI), Syed Nasirin (e-commerce, Project Management), Dr M S Bansil (Provisional TickIT Auditors) (Distributed Systems), Joseph Barjis (Networking).
Few people that I met at BCUC (now Bucks New University): Richard Mather (Area of expertise: Forestry, GIS), Janet Payne, Don Milne, John Boylan (Head of Research). These are four main people who helped me give up my MPhil. A story to tell...!
Interestingly, few people that I met at Brunel: Steve Love (Author of 'Understanding Mobile Human-Computer Interaction'), Mark Perry. I've an unconditional offer to continue my research study in Brunel, but I'm still an overseas student as I do not meet all the criteria setout by UKCOSA (Information on Tuition Fees: PDF file) to be considered as a Home Student. Hopefully, it will be ok by the end of the next year 2008.
Mobile Internet User Experience Workshop, Singapore 2007: Virpi Roto(Nokia Research Center, Finland), Eija Kaasinen (VTT, Technical Research Centre of Finland), Dhaval Joshi (Motorola, India), Teija Vainio (Tampere University of Technology, Finland), Wolfgang Maehr (Opera, Norway). Co-authors for the paper "Improving User experience of Mobile Internet" submitted to International Cross-Disciplinary Conference on Web Accessibility (will be held on Monday 21st and Tuesday 22nd April 2008).
At least but not least, some of the friends currently doing research in different areas of computing: Indrachapa Bandara, Guy Wassi, Premkumar Elangovan, Karen Stepanyan, Xiaobin Lin, Knowledge Mpofu, Qiao Yiming.
Best wishes to everyone!
